The cards are just a picture of a moment that you can find online for free, so where is the value? Is it just the physical cards or the extra shiny graphics? What if they start throwing in special graphics to the highlights or turn it into a 360 highlight where you can navigate to any space during the specific highlight? The more I think about it, the more opportunities and possibilities there are for this top shot trend. What if you can start owning games? An entire playoff series? The draft? The best and most balanced era of basketball was definitely the 2000s. It had the best defense, just enough offense to be entertaining, textbook basketball, more use of the mid range, very little real superteams (most teams just had star duos), etc. Nowadays players like Melo can’t dominate with their one-dimensional playstyle. Nowadays they can dribble, pass, dunk, AND shoot the ball more efficiently than him.

Michael Jordan made me love basketball. He elevated the game and changed it forever. He played mostly in an era when defense was played and it every finger touch was not called as a foul like today. He also played when there were many awesome centers. And oh yeah the game for half of his career was hard and physical. He also played in a conference with great teams Knicks, pacers, pistons, and more unlike Lebron who played in a cream puff walk over conference with maybe one decent team in the East (Celtics for like three years). He said and I quote “that would be disrespectful to other great players from other eras I did not play against”. But a true basketball fan knows jordan would rule in any era. Lebron and his weak mental game would not dominate in any other era but this one. FYI other players in other eras would destroy Lebron for all his bad acting and flops. The goat does not flop. Done.
